TTAutoOps crash - Fathcrypt

Solution

ISSUE

TTAutoops crashes when doing Download Punches / UpdateReaderInterface (check the log file to identify the error)

CAUSE

Either you are using the new TTAutoOps with an old client or a file is not properly updated/registered in the computer

SOLUTION

For 64 bit systems, the system32 folder should be replaced with SYSWow64

  • Download, unzip and copy the file location to your system folder..

  • This file should be copied to
    • WINDOWS\SYSWOW64 (for 64 bit systems)
    • WINDOWS\system32 (for 32 bit systems)

  • Open the command prompt in Admin Mode and manually type the appropriate command. Be sure to replace the word system32 with  syswow64 in case of a 64-bit system
      • Windows 98, or Me:
        • regsvr32 \windows\system\fathcrypt.ocx
      • Windows NT or 2000:
        • regsvr32 \WINNT\system32\fathcrypt.ocx
      • Windows XP / Vista /  7  /  8  / 10
        • regsvr32 \windows\system32\fathcrypt.ocx

  • You should see a message saying "DllRegisterServer ... succeeded"

  • If you are getting an error telling you that the file is missing, then you are not typing the command incorrectly. You will need to type it in *exactly* as shown above for your operating system.

  • Please note that there is a SPACE after "regsvr32"
