Windows 7 - Issues

In windows 7, the logged in user (even if he is an administrator) normally does not have rights to create/edit files in the Program Files folder.  

Problem

  • The database files sometimes gets duplicated inside the Users App folder.
  • Reports will not be created in TimeTrack\Reports folder.
Solution
  • Recommended - Install TimeTrack in D: or some other drive.
  • If not possible then
    • Right click TimeTrack and enable RUN AS ADMIN in properties.
    • Search for a file named TimeTrack.mdb within C:\Users folder. If you find it, backup the TimeTrack folder (Within C:\Users) and then delete the folder.
